Towarzystwo Społeczno-Kulturalne Żydów w Polsce (Social and Cultural Society of Jews in Poland)
The Social and Cultural Society of Jews in Poland (TSKŻ) was created in 1950 as a secular organization uniting Polish Jews. Its goal is to meet the cultural needs of the Jewish community and to represent it to the government and other organizations in Poland. In 2002 its membership amounted to 2,700, with regional branches in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Lodz, Katowice, Bielsko-Biala, Gliwice, Zary, Walbrzych, Czestochowa, Lublin, Szczecin, Gdansk, Krakow, Legnica, Bytom, Dzierzonowo and Poznan. The web page belongs to the server of the Jewish Society of Poland,, which includes another 17 Jewish organizations active in Poland, as well as Jewish faith communities in Wroclaw, Warsaw and Bielsko. The site also offers information about events related to the Jewish community in Poland, links to Jewish online periodicals (in Polish) and educational resources (in Polish).
