The founders of the Foundation for Freedom combine concern for the quality of social life in Poland with anxiety about violations of the Constitution, and in particular discrimination against ethnic, national, religious and sexual minorities. The Foundation works to increase knowledge of the political and economic mechanisms that shape human relations, and to improve understanding of the workings of democracy and globalization processes. It fosters knowledge of individual and collective rights, including freedom of expression and access to information and education. The Foundation endeavors to present the diversity of cultures and world views. It organizes debates, informational and social campaigns, demonstrations and exhibitions, and it also publishes. The Foundation supports other independent initiatives and it originated campaigns such as T-Shirt for Freedom, Free Belarus, and the European Voluntary Service carried out in cooperation with the EU Youth Program (links at the website).
