Jewish Foundation for the Righteous (JFR)
The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous (JFR), founded by Rabbi Harold M. Schulweis in 1986, provides assistance to non-Jewish people who rescued Jews during the Holocaust. More than 1400 people from 28 countries currently benefit from JFR assistance. The JFR runs its own educational program for high school and college teachers in the United States. In this effort it cooperates with 14 American centers for Holocaust education. It sponsors JFR Summer Institutes for Teachers (for teachers from Europe as well) and makes educational materials broadly available. The Foundation also prepares trainer-lecturers for work in social and religious organizations. One special JFR activity is arranging meetings between survivors and the people who saved their lives.

The website’s most interesting section recounts the individual stories of many people throughout Europe who risked their lives to protect Jews during the Holocaust. It is well designed and easy to navigate.
