School Without Racism
The School Without Racism project began in Antwerp in 1988 and had great success in Belgium. Currently, 250 Belgian schools are members of the antiracism program. Different schools in the campaign have developed educational materials, sets of exercises, brochures, posters and stickers. The schools cooperate with each other, exchange experience, implement different projects, and organize youth exchange. The School Without Racism campaign is particularly relevant now, when nationalism is rising in many European countries as the number of refugees and immigrants increases. The website has a declaration of participation which schools interested in joining the campaign against racism can sign and send by post, and information on the School Without Racism handbook.
