The Social and Cultural Planning Office (SCP) characterizes the social and cultural situation in the Netherlands, monitors and assesses current government policy, makes mid- and long-term prognoses, and formulates recommendations for the government. The SCP has 90 expert researchers from different academic fields. They write reports which are then used by state officials, local authorities, and other academics. The reports concern Dutch society as a whole (social and cultural reports) or are devoted to particular social groups (disabled people, elderly, ethnic minorities, youth).
The website has publications in pdf format on issues such as multiculturalism (Diverse Europe) and ethnic minorities (Ethnic Minorities and Integration. Outlook for the Future).
