Board of Deputies of British Jews
The efforts of the Board are distributed into several divisions including finance and organization, community issues, international affairs, defense policy and group relations. These divisions are designed to ensure proper functioning as an organization; to promote the general development of the Jewish community through education, public awareness, and research; to represent the British community internationally; to politically defend the Jewish community; and to cooperate with the government, various public agencies, and other religious and ethnic communities. Specific activities of the Board include combating antisemitism, providing emergency aid, supporting special education needs, creating awareness of the Jewish way of life, maintaining Jewish cemeteries, defending against disability discrimination, and running a relief fund for victims of Nazism.
