European Women’s Lobby
The EWL’s goal is to achieve equality between women and men in Europe and to serve as a link between political decision-makers and women’s organizations at the EU level. The EWL analyzes a wide range of EU policies from a gender perspective. Its actions relate to European gender equality policy and legislation, revision of treaties and conventions on the future of Europe, employment policies, social policies, multiple discrimination, women’s human rights and violence against women, women and European Union enlargement, women and globalization, etc.

The organization is also involved in the Beijing World Conference on Women and the Durban World Conference against Racism. The EWL has an information service featuring European news related to gender equality, annual reports, and other publications on specific topics.
