Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS)
Prior to the conflict in Kosovo, KFOS worked on promoting, supporting and encouraging civil society initiatives in Kosovo. Following the conflict, KFOS has identified the major gaps in institution building and democratic development and has provided support to address these problems. KFOS has organized activities that engage mainly youth, minorities and women. In so doing, it has been able to support the process of minority integration into the local community, attract public attention and raise awareness about domestic violence and law enforcement, carry out reforms in the education system, and create economic opportunities for minorities.
